The Week That Was in Wrestling

While five superstars tried to one-up each other en route to the Championship Scramble, other superstars were trying to avoid the wrath of two big men: Big Show and Undertaker.

R-Truth (formerly Ron “The Truth” Killings) had a successful SmackDown! debut as he defeated Kenny Dykstra, who seriously should consider leaving WWE, and Brie Bella had a successful debut as well as she shocked Victoria.

Maryse and Natalya defeated Maria and Divas Champion Michelle McCool, with Maryse making it clear that she will be next in line to challenge McCool for the Divas Championship.

Speaking of Champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers were in the house on Friday night. As the Steelers enjoyed the show, Triple H wished his night ended a little bit better. The WWE Champion won a hard fought battle against United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, but it was The Great Khali that got the last laugh as he took advantage of a mugging from Benjamin to drop Triple H with the Khali Bomb. Speaking of Giants…

Big Show made another huge impact as he came out and chokeslammed the WWE Tag Team Champions and cold cocked Jesse. He sent a message to Vickie that “I won’t be overlooked again.” He also called his actions an “oversight.”

As for Vickie, her night wasn’t any better than The Game. The Undertaker started off the night by saying that he would come after Vickie…and that he will possess her soul. Upon hearing this, La Familia began to disperse out of Vickie’s office, leaving the GM locked in her office.

At the end of the night, darkness fell upon SmackDown’s GM as the lights went out in her office, and all that could be heard was the blood curdling screams of Vickie Guerrero.
