Michigan Football Predictions 2008

Cody Thomas by Correspondent Written on August 30, 2008

Michigan started the season off on a bad note. The Wolverines lost to the Utah Utes 25-23 at home. The Wolverines defense looked ok, but the offense just wasn't clicking and looked pretty bad. The Wolverines are going to have a rough 2008 season and making a bowl game lies in the hands of the young in-experienced quarterbacks.

Here are my predictions for how the Michigan Wolverines will finish their 2008 season after starting with a painful loss to Utah.

Game 1

Michigan 23 Utah 25.

Game 2

Michigan vs Miami(Oh).In this game I like the Wolverines chances. Miami(Oh) does return 12 starters from last year and is one of the best teams in the MAC. However, I think the Michigan defense will be too much for the Redhawks and will force many important turnovers. It will be closer than many think but Michigan will pull out a win.

Michigan 28  Miami(Oh) 24

Game 3

Michigan @ Notre Dame. This game is going to be very interesting. Notre Dame brang in some excellent recruits and have home field advantage. If Notre Dame is (2-0) coming into this game i think they will have all the momentum and pull out the victory. The key to a Michigan win in this game is the young quarterbacks need to make smart decisions, no turnovers and convert on 3rd down.

Michigan 21 Notre Dame 20

Game 4

Michigan vs Wisconsin. Wisconsin will come into this game favored by about 14 points.I think that if Wisconsin overlooks Michigan they will have a tough time and might get shell shocked by the Wolverines. In the end i think that Wisconsin is just too powerful for the Wolverines. Wisconsin has a key playmaker in Hill and that will be the deciding factor. Michigan will stay close early but won't hold on

Michigan 14 Wisconsin 28

Game 5

Michigan vs Illinois. Illinos suffered a home lose to Missouri today and looked sloppy on the defensive side of the ball. In this game the two teams contrast themselves. Michigan has a great defense and a sloppy offense. Illinois has a good offense and a sloppy defense. I think that with Michigan playing at home and it being homecoming the Wolverines will get a key win due to their defense.

Michigan 20 Illinois 14

Game 6

Michigan vs Toledo. This game should be a cake walk for the Wolverines. Toledo is not a strong football team, and by this time in the season the Michigan offense should be clicking and making plays. The Wolverines shouldn't overlook Toldeo, because they overlooked App State and we all know what happened then. This is the biggest win for the Wolverines.

Michigan 35 Toledo 10

Game 7

Michigan @ Penn State. Michigan has one the last nine meetings but they won't get a win this year. Penn State when playing at home is one of the toughest teams in the country. Penn State will come in heavy favorites but the Wolverines won't get beat too badly. Emotions will be high and Penn State's receivers will be too much for Michigan.

Michigan 17 Penn State 27

Game 8
