The Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Domonic Brown has suffered a peculiar setback in winter ball in the Dominican Republic. The outfielder was not hurt, he is not in a slump, he hasn't even struggled against left-handed pitchers.

His setback comes from sitting on the bench.

The Phillies sent Brown to winter ball in hopes that he would get at bats and make up for the time he spent on the bench after he was promoted and Shane Victorino returned from his injury. That has not happened. The Phillies and his agent, Scott Boras (say it isn't so), both wanted Domonic to play for the Escogido Lions. Still, he has seen no action.
