Personal Foul! Roughing the Raiders!
Along with the rest of Raider Nation, I've noticed a trend:Unfair officiating against the Silver and Black.
In my last article, I put the blame on Al Davis for the Raiders' recent failures. I still stand by what I said about Al—but I also agree with those who raised the point about the referees.
Time and again, I've seen the Raiders lose because of poor officiating.
It started when the Raiders were playing the Ravens in the playoffs. Tony Siragusa made an illegal hit on Rich Gannon and put him out for the game. If not for that, I believe the Raiders would have gone to the Super Bowl and beaten the Giants.
Another poor call came in the infamous Raiders-Patriots Tuck Rule game. It was clearly a fumble—but yet again the officials didn't want the Raiders to win.
My theory is it had something to do with 9/11.
Most recently, the Raiders were victimized by poor calls against the Colts. When is is this madness going to end? When will Commissioner Roger Goodell step in and take charge?
When that happens, and when Al steps down, the Raiders will win once again.
