Skins-Jags Pregame

--The CoveritLive software isn't working. Actually, there isn't enough bandwidth for it to work here at FedEx. I'm going to have to do this the old-fashioned way and update quarter by quarter or more frequently as events dictate. I'll try to get this worked out for next week but, hey, it's the preseason for all of us.

--You'll still be able to send me your questions via email at

--About 13 minutes before game time and the stands are not even 10% full. I guess you can't fool all the people all the time.

--Anthony Mix was looking very sharp and focused during pregame warm-ups. He was working to be an actual receiver and not just a tall guy who can play some special teams. It's on teams that he outshines Billy McMullen. I'm still calling the spot to McMullen, but Mix could come in and steal it.

--Randle El and Jansen are the only first-team offensive players who will not start. Thrash and Heyer will start in their spots, respectively. No defensive starters are expect to go with the exception of Reed Doughty.

--The Jags have a mixed bag of starters and reserves going. It looks like Garrard with start at QB.

--Unlike during the entire Gibbs tenure, there are individual player introductions. It's kind of a waste of time if you ask me, but nobody did ask me.

--Redskins will kick off.
