Andrej Meszaros Headed to Lightning for Kuba, Picard and 1st Round Pick

BR reporter Spencer Callaghan Has been hot on the trail of this story for the past 24 hrs. and now the CBC is confirming his reports more or less.

Reports are saying the trade involves Andrej Meszaros heading to the Lightning in exchange for Filip Kuba, Alexandre Picard and a first round draft pick. The trade apparently was born out of frustrations from the Ottawa Senators' end as negotiations with the young and very promising Defenseman's contract had come to a deadlock.

It is being reported Meszaros will recieve a multi-year deal with a huge increase from the $984,200 he made last year, somewhere in the vicinity of $5 million a season.

Both camps are reporting their satisfaction with the end result.  Both teams have changed significantly over this offseason and their fans will have to get used to the new faces. How the moves will actually further the teams' success this upcoming season will become evident very soon.
