The student section is the most vehement, obnoxious, and  annoying thing to deal with as a visitor, striking fear in every member of the team, however the students also drive the home team to what they hope is a victory.

However as of late student sections have taken a lot of heat for being too rowdy or out of control or even throwing things at the opposite team. The one thing people do not take into account when criticising the students is that not only are they cheering on their school but these are their peers, their classmates, maybe even their lab partners out there on the field waving their schools banner.

Even through all this critcism it remains the best place in all of sports because of the fear it instills in opponents, the camaraderie it gives the students, and the pride that fills the athletes on the field.

Only one place can students gather together as one, whether they be engineers or design majors, seniors or freshman, Americans or International students; and that section of the stadium is the place it is possible.The support of the students fuel the athletes to perform at their best and the pandemonium they produce make the visiting team never forget their mistakes. Without the student section college football would lose most of its flare and electricity.

So the next time you are at a football game and the student section is going crazy,don't let them go too far though, think to yourself that they are simply enjoying watching their classmates play on that field, and that without their loud cheers and yelling, college football wouldn't be what it is today.
