Aston Villa have completed the signing of Newcastle winger James Milner on a four-year contract.
Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan was hopeful of keeping the England U21 star at St.James Park despite Milner handing in a transfer request.
Liverpool and Aston Villa were reportedly interested in Milner but ultimately it was Martin O'Neill's club, who took Milner to Villa Park.
Kevin Keegan defended the sale and revealed Mike Ashley it to him whether to let him go or not.
"He's a player, in an ideal world, you would not want to lose, but I just want to make it absolutely clear that at the end of the day, it was my decision to sell him."
"We got an offer that I feel was his value. We are all aware James has had a difficult time, he almost signed for them once before and was dragged back."
Well, what do the Newcastle fans think of this? Is there time for a replacement or is Jonas Gutierrez your man?

There had better be time for a replacement Saalar, our squad was already paper thin.

I remember watching Milner years ago and I knew he was good, I always thought he could do better at another club and wouldnt do as well at the Toon so I think its a good move for Milner !
