Even if you weren't a San Antonio Spurs fan, most guys were giving Tony Parker thumbs up when he began dating Eva Longoria.

The two have split after three years of marriage.

US Weekly reports that Tony had been texting another woman for over a year.

This isn't the first shocking divorce involving a professional athlete: Remember Tiger Woods anyone?

Many sports fans will also remember previous divorces involving boxer Mike Tyson and Robin Givens, golfer Greg Norman and wife Laura, and Michael Jordan's split with Juanita.

The money involved was astounding. Laura Norman received $107 million in their settlement, and Juanita Jordan got $168 million.

    That's just scratching the surface.

Let's revisit what happened with some other notable divorces.

20. Tonya Harding and Jeff Gillooly

The former US figure skater married Gillooly when she was a teenager.

    It lasted just three years.

Harding later told of how she was abused, and that Gillooly threatened to break her legs and held a gun to her head.

Gillooly served six months in prison for his involvement in the attack on Harding's rival, skater Nancy Kerrigan.

Harding has participated in celebrity boxing matches since then, and was in the news as well for a rather comical call to 911.

19. Anna Kournikova and Sergei Fedorov

The tennis star had been linked with several athletes, including the former Detroit Red Wings star.

Evert was married to Mill for 18 years, but the two divorced due to irreconcilable differences.

They each walked away okay: He got $7 million, a vacation home in Aspen worth $4 million and a Porsche; she got to keep the home in Palm Beach, and custody of their three kids.

Not long ago, Evert made headlines again when she married golfer Greg Norman, but that marriage was over before it really began.

17. Jason and Joumana Kidd

The Dallas Mavericks point guard divorced his wife in 2007 after 10 years of marriage.

Kidd, who was then with the Nets, accused his wife of physical and mental abuse, and also said she threatened to file false reports of domestic violence with the police.

    Pretty crazy stuff.

P.S. Both had been photographed together in a section of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue featuring athletes and their wives.

Their divorce wasn't settled until July 2009, and both had been spotted with much younger company during the proceedings.

Whether you are a fan of gossip shows or not, you couldn't escape this.

It has been one of the most shockingly sad stories in the sports world.

Last Thanksgiving, news broke of Woods being involved in a car crash near his home in Florida.

Rumors quickly surfaced of his wife beating him with a golf club.  Later, it was uncovered that he had been linked to numerous other women.

Woods eventually made a public apology, and returned to golf.

It was obvious in his performance this year that his game wasn't the same.
