Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune writes a series called "Ask the Expert." In his latest edition he answers the question of the Jazz making a deal for Ben Gordon.
Luhm writes:
"Depending on what he would cost the Jazz, the addition of Gordon would be a good one. He would certainly add defense-stretching shooting range to a team that, despite the presence of Memo Okur, Kyle Korver, C.J. Miles, and Williams, could use more."
He goes on to say:
"I don't know if Ronnie Brewer would be enough to seal any Kirilenko-Gordon deal, and the same thing goes for Matt Harpring or Miles. I'm also guessing the Jazz would not include Carlos Boozer or Okur in any deal with Chicago. If they did, the Bulls would have to include several players from the group I already mentioned, most likely Hinrich and Thomas or Noah."

Of all the trade scenarios involving Ben Gordon, this is one that the Bulls get the most out of. Andre Kirilenko is a very solid defender and either Brewer, Harpring, or Miles would add depth to the Chicago bench.
I'm sure the Bulls would rather not take Brewer back in the trade, even though he is a starter for the Jazz, because they are already very loaded down in the back court.
Harpring or Miles seem like the logical choices to come along with Kirilenko back to Chicago because they are forwards.
This trade would benefit the Jazz far more than it would favor the Bulls. The Bulls would be losing their leading scorer and getting two more defensive minded forwards that would not make up for the scoring loss.
However, this trade would get the Bulls near equal value as compared to trading Gordon to the Nuggets for Kenyon Martin or to Portland for Joel Przybilla.
On a personal level, I really cannot stand Andre Kirilenko, but I think that this trade would hurt the Bulls the least in comparison to other trade opportunities out there.
Ben Gordon will not be playing with the Bulls this year and if they do not trade him the Bulls will get nothing for him when he goes overseas. So John Paxson, take the first decent offer you get if you want value for Ben.

Good assesment, I think the Jazz definitely want to deal Kirilenko to get out from under his big paycheck. Sloan needs and wants defense, especially inside, that is why I think this deal is unlikely. Utah has plenty of people who can and want to shoot the ball. If Kirilenko was a #1 offensive option somewhere, I think he could become much more than he is.

If he were to be traded to the Bulls I'm not sure he would be the number 1 scoring option, that distinction belongs to Deng. Kirilenko might be good for the Bulls because he would be a good low post defensive option and would give them a better inside presence. Gordon doesn't seem to fit into the Sloan mold, more D'Antoni kind of guy. We will see though

the jazz would suck without kirilenko. if you havent noticed he is by far the best defender on the team and its a steep drop off after him. without him the jazz have no chance getting in the playoffs. it would boil down to the pick and roll on offense and nothing on defense. sounds like a winning formula. maybe they should trade him. he needs to be on a faster paced team to blossom offensively.

Ben Gordon is the most pronounced rhythm shooter I have ever seen, but he would just be another addition to our already crowded shooting guard position, minutes are already going to have to be rationed very selectively....Brewer is my boy and if he goes I will cry again and no one wants this....
