Free from Nexus or the WWE - The dilemma facing John Cena

Hey Bleachers, whats up?

I know I know, it's been a little while since I wrote my last article, but with Survivor Series just around the corner, I thought I'd write an article with my prediction for how the main event will play out.

As we all know, the match in question is Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett for the WWE Championship, with Nexus member John Cena acting as the special referee.

However, this isn't the only stipulation as John Cena is in a free or fired situation, meaning that if Barrett wins the title, Cena is free from Nexus. If Orton wins, Cena is fired. Now we must also remember that this match was made into a No DQ, No Countout match with Nexus banned from ringside.

Now this leaves John Cena in a very tricky predicament. Does he go by his general persona of hustle, loyalty and respect and call the match down the middle, risking his status as a WWE employee? Or does he go against all of his principles and make sure that Wade Barrett wins the title, thus freeing himself from the control of Barrett?

Now, if it was myself in that position, I'd love to be able to say that I'd stand up for my morals and call the match down the middle, even if Randy Orton wins it. However, if my job was on the line, I'd probably do my best to ensure Barrett wins the title, just for the sake of my job.

Now referring back to the title, which some of you are probably thinking what is this guy on about? Let me explain.

I have a funny feeling that John Cena will call this down the middle, mainly to continue with his good guy persona, and I also have a funny feeling that Randy Orton will retain his WWE Championship and by some technicality, John Cena will also retain his status as a WWE wrestler.

Realistically, the WWE are not going to fire their top baby face are they? This is the guy who sells merchandise for the company, and also inspires the little kids, the WWE's main target market. I also know that the majority of the IWC want to see Cena turn heel, and even as a Cena fan, I would like to as well. However, again I don't think they will turn him heel as it would break the kids' hearts. (If you don't agree, just see the reaction of some of the kids who were at Hell In A Cell when he was forced to join Nexus.)

Now as for Survivor Series, I have a feeling that another Nexus member may have a role to play in this whole situation.

His name is David Otunga.

Now everyone knows that Otunga has been at odds with Barrett lately, and he has faced the prospect of being kicked out of the Nexus recently. Now, I have a feeling that he will be kicked out of the Nexus before the main event of Survivor Series.

Now my prediction for Survivor Series is that he'll be removed from the Nexus before the match, maybe as a result for screwing up in one of the other Nexus matches earlier in the night. Either that, or he'll interfere in the match, costing Barrett the title, with John Cena counting the pin fall for Randy Orton to retain.

This will then lead to Wade Barrett to try to fire John Cena the next night on Raw. However, the anonymous GM will interevene and say that Cena can't be fired due to a technicality and somehow this will lead to a No. 1 contender's match for the WWE Championship between Cena and Barrett.

Now, personally I'd like to see Barrett win the title at Survivor Series as I do like Barrett a lot, and I think he has the potential to be a great champion. However, if WWE creative are as predictable as normal, then Cena will count the pin for Orton and won't be fired due to a technicality.

I really hope that this isn't the case as being a Cena fan, I'd like to see them do something a bit different with his character, but I don't really see it happening.

Let me know what you guys think, and even how you think the ending will play out!
