It's been anybody's year so far in the National Football League. The second half of the season is shaping up to be just as exciting as the first. Here are my not-so-expert picks for this week of NFL action.

MIA over CHI—Chicago's record is better than they are in my opinion. And after Miami's performance against Tennessee, I'm a believer.

BUF over CIN—I guess you could consider this an upset. But the Bills have finally broken into the win column. And the Bengals are sure to do everything they can to give another game away.

ARI over KC—Might just be wishful thinking on my part. But Arizona have what it takes to get it done. The Chiefs are reeling.

GB over MIN—The Pack are going to put the dagger in the Vikings season.

TEN over WAS—I'm not sold on Vince Young. But I'm even less sold on the Redskins after that Monday night debacle.

JAC over CLE—The Browns are for real. That being said, the Jags have found ways to win close games. They might just be able to pull off winning the AFC South.

HOU over NYJ—My upset pick of the week. The Jets have snuck away with two games against Detroit and Cleveland that they really shouldn't have won. The Texans need to snap this losing skid now or their season is done.

BAL over CAR—Do I really need to say anything?

DET over DAL—I truly believe the Giants went into their game against the 'boys last week underestimating their foes. They fought back in the second half but it was too late. This is the last time I put faith in the Lions this year if they let me down again. I say draft Kellen Moore next year.

PIT over OAK—The Raiders are contenders, but I don't expect the second half of their season to go as well as the first half. Plus the Steelers will be looking for some redemption following a Sunday night shredding of their defense courtesy of Tom Brady.

ATL over STL—Matt Ryan is the next Philip Rivers. Or Tom Brady. The Falcons will be in the NFC title game this year.

SF over TB—The Niners are right back in the NFC West race because it's the NFC West. But they've got some momentum. This is my other upset pick.

NO over SEA—The Saints look better every week. The 'hawks are inconsistent.

NE over IND—I don't expect this to be close like it usually is every year, I expect the Patriots to absolutely dominate. The Colts should have lost this week but the Bengals didn't want to win. New England is playing at an elite level right now.

NYG over PHI—I'm not totally sold on the Eagles and Vick yet. Ignoring my personal feelings about Vick, he played brilliantly against the 'skins. But the Giants are a tough, tough team. And they'll be looking to rebound this week. Winner takes the lead in the NFC East.

SD over DEN—I have to side with my Chargers! But for good reason. This is the time of year where San Diego gets red hot. Rivers is throwing for like 5,000 yards per game and making superstars out of second string receivers. If Oakland and Kansas City lose, and the Chargers win, it's a three way tie for the lead in the AFC West. And no one wants to play against San Diego in December.
