Eagles vs. Redskins: Redskins Stay in Third Place After Loss
Eagles vs. Redskins was a big matchup for Washington, who with a win would have found themselves holding the same record as Philadelphia with a season sweep in its hands and possession of second place in the division.
Instead, the Redskins came out and delivered one of the most uninspired performances of the season as the Eagles beat them like a drum on Monday night and were up 35-0 in the blink of an eye, then cruised to an easy victory.
"We just got embarrassed, from start to finish," Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said to the media after the game. "It's frustrating to go out there on national TV and play the way we played....Anybody that was watching that game thought it was a joke."
Other players echoed that sentiment, including Albert Haynesworth, who I'm not sure I heard mentioned on the broadcast all night long.
"We got outcoached. We got outplayed. They did everything right," Haynesworth said after the game.
Yep, that pretty much sums the whole thing up. Hey, at least the Redskins have Donovan McNabb for five more years. Am I right?
