I hate to say I told you so, no wait I love to say I told you so.

Michael Smith of ESPN is reporting that the Washington Redskins and Donovan McNabb have reached an agreement on a contract extension.

The Skins are keeping the Pro Bowl quarterback in D.C. at the tune of five years for $78 million with a reported $40 million being guaranteed.

I have said all along that the media was blowing the benching way out of proportion and that he would be back next season.  Also I'm one of the few people who took Donovan at his word when he said he was 100 percent sure he'd be a Redskin next season.

He said this only two days after his benching.

Still the talking heads were so sure he was gone they were already calling the trade a disaster and saying how terrible this was.

Well apparently it was all for nothing and it would appear with this contract that the Shanhans and McNabb have burred the hatchet, this is if there ever was one to bury.
