R-R presents to you the latest rumors and realities of the football world

In a quote that will surely be nominated for the "Joke of the Year" award, Peter Kenyon stated that Andriy Shevchenko was a Chelsea success. I’m not sure though.

Shevchenko scored 9 goals in 47 appearances after moving to Stamford Bridge in a £30m deal. That makes his every goal worth £3.33m. Enough said.

In more humorous news, Brazilian playmaker Rivaldo has moved from AEK Athens to Uzbek side Bunyodkor.

As always, there are rumors galore in the football world.

In Turin, Claudio Ranieri is said to be ready to replace forgettable Juve flop Tiago Mendes (is he still there?) with ex-Juve flop Stephen Appiah. Appiah has been a free agent for some time now after he was released by Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Real Madrid target David Villa has penned a contract extension that will keep him at Mestalla until 2014. Real Madrid seem keen to buy a star from Valencia, and are rumored to be interested in signing former Real Betis winger Joaquin.

Real Madrid have had a hugely disappointing transfer window with their summer targets staying put at their clubs. A move to Joaquin, however, should be completed easily as Valencia are currently in a bad financial position.

Valencia giant Nikola Zigic wants to switch to an EPL club. Everton, Stoke, Blackburn and Aston Villa are all interested in sealing a deal for the target man. To the delight of interested parties, Valencia are ready to loan out their striker.

Although rumors always outweigh the realities section, there is always a space for real news.

Roy Keane has been busy buying anyone who has a link with Manchester United since becoming The Cats’ manager. This time, Keane has signed Anton Ferdinand, brother of Manchester United’s own Rio Ferdinand.

Though in all fairness Keane has been doing a good work at Sunderland; he has surely improved his negotiation abilities and has been signing players of good quality as of late (Well, Anton’s better than Kieran Richardson).

Anyone who saw Liverpool scrape a 1-0 win against Standard Liege would think Standard’s players were actually Real Madrid players wearing masks. The question to Rafa Benitez is: Where’s the creativity? Rafa’s answer will probably be: Get me Barry!

It seems Gareth Barry is the missing component in Liverpool’s winning formula (only in Rafa’s eyes). The team obviously needs creativity and he is keen to sell Xabi Alonso! (Also known as Liverpool’s most creative player).

 Transfer Realties… Here We Go!

[Deep Breath] Bayern Munich’s Marcell Jansen and Sao Paulo’s Alex Silva move to HSV, Torino’s Vincenzo Grella moves from Torino to Blackburn, Parma sign Alberto Paloschi on a co-ownership deal from Milan while Inter’s Santiago Solari moves to San Lorenzo.

Milan Baros moves from Lyon to Galatasaray, Ever Banega moves to Atletico Madrid from Valencia on loan and Josico moves from Villareal to Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
