The Dallas Cowboys came into this game in complete disarray, and walked out as champions.
Jason Garrett, who was named the interim head coach earlier this week, was able to muster the squad together and pull off a 33-20 victory over the New York Giants.
Moreover, Jon Kitna who replaced the injured Tony Romo, threw three touchdown passes and was an integral key to their win.
Interestingly enough, the win came over the Giants who've been playing at a very high level this season.
All in all, this Cowboys team looked like an entirely new one that had aspirations of dominance.
Who knows? If they can keep this going, they could find themselves in the NFC playoff picture at the end of the year.

The San Francisco 49ers pulled off a 23-20 overtime victory over the St. Louis Rams today in their NFC West showdown.
Troy Smith demonstrated why he can be the quarterback of the future as he threw for 356 yards and a touchdown. He utilized the team's talents and led them down on successful drives to seal the deal.
Helping him out was running back Frank Gore, who amassed 154 yards from scrimmage.
On the flip side, Bradford had another good game but it wasn't enough.
All in all, this win puts them in a great position moving forward and I stand by my prediction that they will win the NFC West.

The Seattle Seahawks knocked off the Arizona Cardinals with a 36-18 victory, giving them yet another advantage in the NFC West race.
Matt Hasselbeck, who came back from injury, had a great outing as he threw for 333 yards. However, he apparently injured his hand today and Charlie Whitehurst came into the game to replace him.
Moreover, their rushing game chipped in 110 yards.
However, the true hero today was the defense that held the once-prolific Cardinals to only 327 total yards. Moreover, they forced a pair of turnovers and registered five sacks.
All in all, this was a great way for the Seahawks to rebound from their struggles in recent weeks.

The Denver Broncos imposed their strength in a dominating victory over the Kansas City Chiefs today, winning 49-29.
Kyle Orton threw four touchdowns while posting a 131.5 passer rating. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow scored on a one-yard run and also threw a touchdown on his first career pass attempt.
Interestingly enough, it was Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel who threw for 469 yards and four touchdowns. Moreover, he connected with Dwayne Bowe for 13 receptions for 186 yards and a pair of scores.
Nonetheless, their lack of a rushing attack for the second consecutive week hurt them again. Surprisingly, they only amassed 51 yards on the ground against the league's second-worst run defense.
All in all, this was a critical win for the Broncos to salvage what was left of their already dismal season. On the flip side, the Chiefs have some issues to work out if they hope to stay in the AFC West race.

San Francisco 49ers starting left tackle Joe Staley has suffered an ankle injury in their game against the St. Louis Rams today.
He was limping for a while, but was unable to get all the way off the field. Therefore, the medical staff came over and helped cart him off the field and into the locker room. He is currently undergoing further tests and evaluations, and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Staley is known as "Mr. Reliable" because ever since he was taken in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft, he's provided quality pass protection and has been remarkably consistent. All in all, he's one of the best players on this team and is a staple of their offensive line.
This is a tough blow to the unit, especially if this injury proves to be severe and will sideline him for an extended period of time.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has had a monstrous game thus far against the Denver Broncos today.
So far, he's already hauled in 11 receptions for 164 yards and a touchdown. Interestingly enough, this comes against the league's eighth-best passing defense.
Bowe is one of the more underrated receivers in the league. He's Matt Cassel's favorite target and has seven touchdown catches on the season.
All in all, he's a great fantasy producer and has really turned it on lately. Be sure to start him in the coming weeks because I don't expect him to tone it down any time soon.
There was a power outage at the New York Giants' New Meadowlands Stadium which caused their game against the Dallas Cowboys to be delayed. Interestingly enough, this comes at a brand-new, $1.6 billion stadium.
There was no television transmission, and the game was completely blacked out at the moment.
Surprisingly, the Cowboys currently lead 26-6 with 10:38 remaining in the third quarter.
It doesn't seem the Giants will be able to turn things around and get back into this game, but it will be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

Tim Tebow threw his first career NFL touchdown today, a three-yard pass to Spencer Larsen which gave the Denver Broncos a 42-10 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs with 8:36 remaining in the third quarter.
Interestingly enough, that was also Tebow's first career NFL pass attempt.
This is his second touchdown today, as he scored on a one-yard scramble earlier, and he now has four total touchdowns on the season.
Tebow scored his first official NFL touchdown on a five-yard scramble against the New York Jets in Week 6.
After drafting him with the No. 25 overall pick of this year's draft, many projected head coach Josh McDaniels to utilize Tebow in specialized packages in which his unique skill set would be given an opportunity to flourish.
Today, he did exactly that and it paid off with big dividends.
This play is certainly a big step in the right direction in regards to proving his doubters wrong.
Here is the link to the official 2010 D-III playoff bracket.
The playoff system includes four divisions with eight teams in each, equating into 32 total teams participating.
The first round begins on November 20, and the national championship will be determined on December 18.

Troy Smith, the San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback, has done an excellent job capitalizing on his golden opportunity.
The former Heisman Trophy recipient was given the nod after Alex Smith suffered a shoulder injury and has not disappointed thus far.
Against the Denver Broncos, Smith demonstrated poise and was able to lead the team to a victory. This week, against the St. Louis Rams, he's been able move the chains and lead the 49ers on successful drives.
Sure, he's got some issues that he needs to work out, particularly fine-tuning his instincts and decision-making skills. However, for the most part he's played well and he's certainly the best option the team has for now.
That said, he is likely to establish himself as the starter for the remainder of the season.
If that's the case, and he continues to develop, I think he'd be a great prospect to add to your squad.

The New England Patriots got upset by Cleveland Browns last week, losing by 20 points in Week 9 of the 2010 NFL season. As a result, Tom Brady was upset.
"You lose a game in Cleveland and you think you're the worst quarterback in the world," he told NBC's Bob Costas. "You couldn't lead the team to victory. That's pretty motivating right there."
Brady, in fact, played relatively well in that game as he threw for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns while posting a 90.5 passer rating.
Nonetheless, it's clear why a competitor like Brady would be disappointed with his performance.
Brady and the Patriots will have an opportunity to redeem themselves tonight against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It'll be interesting to see how the extra motivation truly affects him.
The full interview will broadcast during NBC's Football Night in America pregame show.

Tim Tebow has scored his third NFL touchdown today for the the Denver Broncos, this time rushing one yard into the end zone to give his team the 28-0 lead with 9:43 remaining in the second quarter.
Tebow scored his first official NFL touchdown on a five-yard scramble against the New York Jets in Week 6.
Now on the season, Tebow has 11 rushes for 27 yards and three touchdowns.
