BCS Rankings Week 12 How They Got Here: The Oregon Ducks have yet to lose a game this season, and up until last night, they had defeated every single one of their opponents by at least 11 points.
But then the Ducks paid a visit to the California Bears.
The Bears led the Ducks throughout the low-scoring game, but Oregon ended up squeaking by with a 15-13 victory.
Why No. 2: Even though the Ducks got the win against Cal, this performance against an unranked Pac-10 team left quite a bit to be desired.
Oregon hasn't exactly had the toughest schedule this season, so they need to beat teams like Cal by more than two points to impress me.
Staying Power: Luckily for the Ducks, it is very likely that Oregon will win out this season, and we will probably see them make an appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.
So could the Ducks win back their No. 1 spot?
Oregon fans should start rooting for another team to end this season with a ban—the Alabama Crimson Tide.
If Alabama can beat Auburn in their last game of the season, the Ducks will take back the No. 1 ranking.
