BCS Rankings Week 12 How They Got Here: The Nebraska Cornhuskers have only one loss this season, and even though they fell to the struggling Texas Longhorns, they are looking like the best team in the Big 12.

Why No. 7: The Huskers move up a spot this week after a 20-3 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks, and even though they came close to losing to Iowa State, they still hold strong at the top of the Big 12 North.

Staying Power: The Huskers have one more big game, against No. 25 Texas A&M next week, but we will be seeing them in the Big 12 title game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

A victory there should give the Huskers a boost into the Top Five, and if some other top teams suffer some losses, Nebraska could still have a shot at a national title.
