Nick Bell Mississippi State: Bulldogs Remember Defensive End
Nick Bell of Mississippi State died of brain cancer earlier this season, and before tonight's game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, the entire crowd took a moment of silence in his memory.
At the age of 20, Bell started experiencing headaches, and then after some medical tests, he was found to have synovial sarcomas- a rare form of cancer which affects soft tissue in joints and in between bones.
Bell's mother Linda Bell has decided to set up a memorial research fund in her son's honor. Synovial sarcomas is not very common, but when it does strike, it is mostly found in children under 20 years old.
