Cameron Newton: Auburn Quarterback to Play Against Georgia Bulldogs
Cameron Newton News:
The No. 2 Auburn Tigers will take on the Georgia Bulldogs today, and they will do so with the help of their star quarterback and Heisman Trophy front-runner Cameron Newton.
After all the drama surrounding Newton and his alleged misconduct regarding NCAA violations, we were unsure if he would play today against the Bulldogs, but Auburn has confirmed that he will.
SEC commissioner Mark Slive left the decision of whether to start Newton up to Auburn, and of course the Tigers will let him play.
He's Cameron Newton after all!
Auburn benching Newton would be like the New England Patriots benching Tom Brady.
If he can play, let him.
So will the Tigers be able to hold onto their undefeated season?
Or will the Georgia Bulldogs take out some early-season frustrations on the No. 2 team in the nation?
We will find out at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
