UFC 122 Results: Amir Sadollah Defeats Peter Sobotta
Mr. Sobotta might get a few months outside of the UFC to hone his skills after this performance. It's not that the 23-year-old lacks for intestinal fortitude; it's that he didn't look technically equipped to handle a guy like Sadollah and—though he's no can—Amir ain't exactly the class of the 170-pound division.
Anyway, the final stanza unfolded essentially the same as the first two with the notable exception that Sadollah might've taken a bit of the edge off his aggression given his comfortable lead in the judges' eyes. Nevertheless, he scored with most of what he threw and gave his opponent absolutely no opening to build even a slight bit of momentum.
For his part, the TUF winner evidenced (once again) the under-appreciated efficacy of leg kicks—Sobotta's gonna be limping for a day or two.
Amir Sadollah defeats Peter Sobotta by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
