The Premiership is almost a third through its fixture list, so fantasy owners should have a better idea of who’s real and who’s not.

One of the best decisions an owner can make is targeting players who have matches against sides in the relegation zone. For the rest of November, you might want to pick up players from Blackpool and Sunderland.

Starting Saturday for Gameweek 13, Blackpool has an away match at last-place West Ham that is followed by a home match against Wolves, who are second to last.

A good strategy might be to transfer your Tangerines out for Sunderland players for Gameweeks 15 and 16. The Black Cats have a similarly advantageous stretch with a match at Wolverhampton that will be followed by hosting the Hammers.

This unique oddity in the schedule isn’t likely to occur again, so take advantage.

I’ve already transferred in Luke Varney from Blackpool and will likely swap him out for Asamoah Gyan, who’s scored three goals in his last two starts and is likely to continue to do well when Darren Bent returns from his hamstring injury.

Another Tangerine worthy of consideration is Charlie Adam, who has been one of the top-scoring midfielders this season. As for Sunderland players, defenders Ahmed Elmohamady and Nedum Onuoha offer good value for money.
