Thursday 8/28

7:00 PM

ESPN 360: Jacksonville St @ Georgia Tech------------->Georgia Tech

-This is your first chance to see Georgia Tech's new option offense attack under Paul Johnson, who was the mastermind behind the nation's leading rushing attack last year at Navy that averaged an outstanding 348.8 yards on the ground per game.

7:30 PM

ESPNU: Vanderbilt @ Miami(OH)---------------------->Miami(OH)

-Miami has a 11-12-1 record against SEC teams.  Can Miami make it to .500 against SEC teams?  There is a good chance.  Vanderbilt is supposed to be in a rebuilding year this year.  Miami travelled to Vanderbilt last year and had a 13-10 3rd quarter lead, but ended up losing by a score of 24-13.

8:00 PM

ESPN: NC State @ South Carolina-------------------->South Carolina

-Is this going to be Spurrier's last year?  If the Visor is seriously considering hanging it up after this year, this game could give the rest of the nation some insightful hints to what the near future could hold for the ole ball coach.

8:10 PM

Fox: #23 Wake Forest @ Baylor-------------------->Wake Forest

-How good is Wake Forest going to be this year?  Can they contend for the ACC title again?  Will Baylor be able to compete in the Big XII this year?  Get an early sneak peak in this Big XII vs ACC matchup.

9:00 PM

ESPN 2: Oregon State @ Stanford------------------>Oregon State

-Do not forget to watch the Pac-10 conference opening game over on ESPN 2.

Friday 8/29

8:00 PM

ESPN: SMU @ Rice--------------------------------->SMU

-How long will it take for June Jones to build up the program at SMU?  Is this something that can happen immediately or will it take a few years?  Take some time to watch part of this game between Texas teams.

Saturday 8/3

12:00 PM

ESPN: #17 Virginia Tech @ East Carolina----------->East Carolina

-Virginia Tech travels on the road to East Carolina.  The two teams faced off at Lane Stadium last year, and Virginia Tech was able to overcome East Carolina in a 17-7 win.  East Carolina went into the half with the lead last year, and they kept the game competitive throughout.  Now Virginia Tech returns the favor with a road trip to East Carolina.  Can the experience of the East Carolina squad overcome a youthful but talented Virginia Tech team?

ESPN2: Syracuse @ Northwestern----------------->Northwestern

-this should be a nice Big East vs. Big 10 match-up.  Syracuse was stuck at the bottom of Big East last year, while Northwestern had a slow start last season.

12:30 PM

Raycom: Hawaii @ Florida------------------------>Florida

-will Florida's defense be improved?  How will the secondary hold up against Hawaii's run and shoot offense?

3:30 PM

ABC: #3 USC @ Virginia-------------------------->USC
