I haven't been this excited about the quarterback position since the Jets traded up and snagged the Sanchise at No. 5 two years ago. Yes, that is how much love I have for Chad Pennington.

The guy was a flat out warrior for the Jets organization and although he may have lacked the physical skill set that is needed at the position, the amount of guys as prepared and ready to compete as he was on game day are few and far between. He was such a smart player on the field as well.

Watching Pennington out there was always exciting. He knew what to do in every situation, it was just accomplishing that idea on the field that continued to hold him back. He had a gem of a football mind and that's why I always thought the Jets had a shot to win football games with him at the helm.

And although he's playing for the Fish now, a division rival, I only hope the best for Mr. Pennington. You think he's got two Comeback Player of the Year awards hanging up in his room for nothing? Absolutely not.

Pennington should be able to punch some life into a pathetic Miami offensive while delivering the ball to Brandon Marshall on a regular basis.
