SEC says Mississippi State never reported calls
SEC says Mississippi State never reported calls

A report by SPORTSbyBROOKS, a member of FOXSports.com, claims that the SEC has confirmed it was never aware of any phone conversations by the Newtons and two recruiters at Mississippi State.

Before I give you the link, I shall tell you another report backs this up. Lane Kiffin said today that, while at Tennessee and recruiting Newton out of JUCO, UT never received any such phone calls asking them for money for Newton's services. Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, who also was recruiting Newton, also said there was nothing odd about Cam's recruitment.

Here is the link.

Judging by Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen's comments that only coaches recruit at Mississippi State, that means two of Joe Schad's sources, the two recruiters, were likely independent and had nothing to do with Mississippi State University.

Cam is 3-for-3 against allegations so far, as this one has been proven to be GARBAGE as have the other two. Good Lord, is ESPN ever going to be right? The answer is "NO." That's why I prefer CBS from now on.

According to the SEC, it's OK to say "War Cam Eagle" again!
