Tennis Kaleidoscope: Roger Federer The Man To Beat Right Now, Not Rafael Nadal

Michael CasentiCorrespondent INovember 12, 2010

Roger Federer is the real No.1
Roger Federer is the real No.1

Just ask Roger Federer.

He knows how it feels to be the person to beat. He has regained the unofficial title of The Best Player Right Now, easily beating Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic for the top spot.

Having won 28 of 31 matches since Wimbledon, Federer has been on a hot streak like no other this year. Had it not been for the computer rankings, Federer surely would have been World No. 1. Rafael Nadal's "excuse?" A shoulder injury. Or perhaps a tinku dishu that has overreacted for every Nadal loss and every Federer win.

Besides, who ever wants to face Roger Federer? Just as Radek Stepanek or the next prey, Jurgen Melzer.
