A TMZ Sports report on Wednesday detailed a lawsuit about a man that claims he is being singled out by fans of the former Heisman trophy winner for saying "T-Bo sucks," and is seeking protection.
TMZ reports that legal documents from Florida state court revealed that the man, John D. Gilland, asserts that he was kicked out of a gas station near the University of Florida for his anti-Tebow remarks.
Gilland claims he's "constantly being harassed by members of [Tebow's] school as well as fans of his school."
According to NBCSports.com's Mike Florio: "It's unclear why Tebow is personally named. He'd have no liability whatsoever absent proof that he is encouraging people to take action against those who besmirch his name."
Tim Tebow attended the University of Florida and led the university to two NCAA national titles in 2007 and 2009 as their quarterback. He also won a Heisman trophy as a sophomore.
Information from TMZ and NBCSports was used in this report. Source: TMZ
