UPDATE: ESPN sources have confirmed Wade Phillips is out as head coach and Jason Garrett will be the interm head coach for the rest of the season. LINK

CBS 11 in Dallas, Texas is reporting that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has indeed fired head coach Wade Phillips after the embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers on national television 45-7.

Jason Garrett is reportedly replacing him as the interim head coach.

Will Garrett be able to spark the Cowboys to a couple of wins to maybe save his job by season's end, or has the team already called it a season and will see what happens in the offseason?

However one problem in the Dallas organization was not addressed: Jerry Jones as general manager.
