Ted Lilly was dominant in his start against the Pirates Monday earning his thirteenth victory of the season.

While Lilly did not look like he would need much offensive support, the Cubs gave it to him anyway.

The offense came to life again scoring 12 runs in a 12-3 route.

Kosuke Fukudome seems to be breaking out of his slump.

Fukudome after working with Lou Piniella to shorten his stride had three hits and four RBI's.

The Cubs pounded out 17 hits on the night that amounted to 12 runs.

The offensive explosion was quite a turn around from the last time the Cubs faced Jeff Karstens.

In his last start Karstens blanked the Cubs for six innings.

Derrek Lee also notched an RBI singles after returning to the lineup after missing Sunday's game with back spasms.

Aramis Ramirez also chipped in a three run homer which was his third three run homer in as many games.

Tonight the Cubs will send their ace, Carlos Zambrano to the mound to face Ian Snell.  Zambrano is going for his 14 win on the season.
