BCS Rankings Week 4 Projection: No. 5 Nebraska Cornhuskers State Their Case
BCS Rankings Week 4 Projection How They Got Here: The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been very convincing all season, and they were considered serious national championship contenders until an October 16th loss to the Texas Longhorns.
Why No. 5: But wins over their last two ranked opponents give the Huskers a nice boost into the top 5. They defeated the Oklahoma State Cowboys 51-41 and the Missouri Tigers 31-17, making that loss to the Longhorns seem like a bit of a fluke.
As a side note: Did anyone else see Iowa State playing as well as they have this season?
Staying Power: The Huskers have Kansas, Texas A&M and Colorado left on their schedule, and they shouldn't have much of a problem rolling through that competition.
Then again, Texas A&M did defeat Oklahoma.
Could the Cornhuskers end up in the national championship after all?
It's a long shot, but it is still a possibility.
