BCS Rankings Week 4 Projection How They Got Here: The Badgers have been one of the most impressive teams in the Big Ten this season, and their only loss came from a then undefeated Michigan State Spartans. The Badgers are the type of team that plays some very smart football, and they always find a way to get the win.

Why No. 7: The Badgers had a great upset over the Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 7, and they have been building momentum ever since. Another big win over Purdue gives them a boost up to No. 7.

Staying Power: The Badgers' only remaining competition could be the Northwestern Wildcats. Even though the Indiana Hoosiers gave the Iowa Hawkeyes a run for their money, the Badgers shouldn't have trouble getting the win.

The Michigan Wolverines may have been able to put up 67 points against Illinois, but the Wisconsin defense will have no trouble shutting them down.

But Northwestern remains a wild card in this conversation and could definitely put up a fight against the Badgers.
