Final: Miami 26, Maryland 20

Game Ball: QB Stephen Morris – 18/30, 286 YDS, TD, 2 INT.

He had two really bad interceptions but didn’t let the adversity get to him. His game-winning touchdown pass to Leonard Hankerson was a beauty.

There’s a lot to like with Morris. He has a cannon for an arm and is pretty accurate on both deep and short routes. Additionally, he has the speed to make plays with his feet. I really like what I’ve seen from the young freshman quarterback.

Up Next: At Georgia Tech next Saturday (12:00 PM ET).

  • How about that touchdown wrongfully called back on a phantom face-mask penalty? Check out the replay in the second video below.
  • Receiver Travis Benjamin (5 REC, 127 YDS)  and running back Lamar Miller (22 RUSH, 125 YDS, TD) both had career days.
  • Miami can still qualify for the ACC Championship game. They would need to beat Georgia Tech next week and Virginia Tech the week after. Virginia Tech would also have to lose an additional game. They play at North Carolina next week.
