College Football Scores: Arkansas Has Two Score Lead On South Carolina at Half
Arkansas has a two score lead on the road over South Carolina, leading the Gamecocks 24-10 at halftime.
When we last checked in on this game, South Carolina was set to punt the ball away on their own 38 yards line. Instead, Spurrier called for a fake punt, and Dalton Wilson failed to make any gain on the play.
Alas, Arkansas capitalized on their short field. Knile Davis took it in from 21 yards out to stretch Arkansas' lead to 24-7.
South Carolina got a field goal just before the half, just a few plays after a touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery was called back because of offensive pass interference.
It's worth repeating that Spurrier has had a couple Gamecocks teams start 6-2, but has yet to see one of them go 7-2. It's a bummer that the SEC East is in their hands. Any one of the teams in the West could easily do their job.
