Scoreboard Watchin’

On today’s off-day, let’s see what’s being played tonight we should keep an eye on.

Baltimore Orioles @ Chicago White Sox: Currently tied 3-3 in the 12th inning, the ChiSox are a half-game ahead of the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central; Twins are one game behind the BoSox for the Wild Card.

Orioles @ White Sox: The second game of the doubleheader, Clayton Richard against Chris Waters.

Minnesota Twins @ Seattle Mariners: If the Twins win and the White Sox drop both games, the Twins will be in first and the White Sox will be just behind the Red Sox for the wild card. Francisco Liriano against Miguel Batista (In other words, Twins win). Oh, and the Twins just brought back Everyday Eddie Guardado.

The Toronto Blue Jays are hotand they will kick off a series with the Tampa Bay Rays tomorrow. Jays are eight out of the Wild Card, Yankees are five. A sweep by both the Sox and Jays would put Boston 1.5 games behind Tampa and the Jays would be tied with the Yankees for the Wild Card.

Boy, we really need a backup outfielder, don’t we? And why is Jeff Bailey on the bench when we have no backup middle infielder?
