Giants Contacting Strahan to Unretire?
With defensive end Osi Umenyiora of the reigning Super Bowl champions out for the season with a torn meniscus, rival NFC East teams celebrated too soon of his demise.

The New York Giants contacted the agent of their legendary future Hall of Famer lineman Michael Strahan during his vacation in Greece, who earlier turned down a $6 million offer from the team to work on Fox Sports’ NFL pregame show. Strahan, who has yet to respond, had no intent of pulling a Brett Favre when retiring, and reiterated his happiness of his decision over the course of the off-season.

At the moment the Giants have moved Mathias Kiwanuka, who was drafted in 2006 to replace a then injured Strahan, to pair with Justin Tuck on the defensive line. With Umenyiora and Strahan as the starting ends and Tuck as a developing end/tackle hybrid Kiwanuka was moved from his natural position to strong side linebacker to keep him on the field.
