WWE Raw on SciFi Doesn't Disappoint

Tennis has nothing on the brutality of the WWE.

While USA was providing coverage for the U.S. Open, SciFi had the privilege to host Monday Night Raw, and it was not one to miss. 

Raw opened with a SummerSlam rematch between JBL and CM Punk. It was a back and forth match, with JBL reaching to the point of desperation.  Toward the end of the match, JBL grabbed a chair, only to have it taken away by the referee.  The distraction allowed Punk to take advantage with the GTS and claim another victory against JBL.

Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix, one half of "Glamarella." Despite Marella's attempt to help out his "aquaintance," it caused a distraction and Kelly Kelly was able to pull out an upset.

To the contrary, The Glamazon was able to help out Marella during his match with Kofi Kingston, and Marella took full advantage to win the match.  The two shared kisses at the end of the match, showing true "amore." 

Shawn Michaels made an appearance to express his feelings about Chris Jericho's actions and comments about his wife, saying that he did not feel that Rebecca was responsible for Jericho's actions.  He stated that after hearing Jericho's remorseless words, he could not walk away, announcing that he will not resign.  The two are scheduled to fight at SummerSlam in an unsanctioned match.

Primo Colon, the brother of Carlito, debuted against Charlie Haas, wrestling as "Charlito."  Primo was able to cleanly win the match, and showed, as he said earlier, he is not a jerk like Carlito.

The team of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase faced veterans Jerry Lawler and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. After defeating Lawler and Duggan, the team that is "priceless" saw Cryme Tyme in the rafters with the "borrowed" tag team belts, and they announced that they would like to win the gold at Summerslam—this match has been confirmed.

Mike Adamle also announced that John Cena would not compete at SummerSlam in the championship scramble due to an injury, and his replacement will be none other than Rey Mysterio.

The final match of the night was between a monster and an animal.  Kane and Batista fought in a grueling match, and unfortunately with the state of mind Kane was in, it ended in a disqualification. 

However, at the end of the night, Batista stood tall after multiple chair shots to the Big Red Monster.  What implications does this night have for Unforgiven, and in particular the championship scramble? Tune into Raw next week to find out!
