When the under-performing Rossoneri faces the Galacticos at San Siro on Wednesday it will be a test for Milan. The Rossoneri are under severe criticism for their poor form and lackluster performance in the new season.

On the other hand the Bernabeau giants are in top form and the "Special One's" effects are looking to have their effect on the team. They have been in god form both in the domestic as well as European level.

Real Madrid had won convincingly 2-0 against the San Siro giants when the two clubs had met a fortnight back. So these match will be Milan's chance to avenge their defeat as Real will look to fortify their place as the group leader.

Here we will look into the few players who have the potential to make a difference and whose performance might decide the fate of their respective clubs.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The in-form Swede on loan from Barcelona has been in good nick. With a total of 7 goals from 11 appearances he is unanimously AC Milan's most lethal attacking weapon. He has been very sharp in front of the goals and has created troubles in the Rossoneri's previous face-off with Real Madrid. It will be interesting to watch if he can trouble the Galacticos' defense and score a goal or two for his club. Milan will be depending much on his form to avenge their earlier defeat.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese wizard has been kept intact his last season's form as he has been on a goal-scoring spree. He has already scored 12 goals in the 13 appearances he made for his club in the new season and has made half a dozen assists. He scored the first goal for Real in their match against the Italian giants and created the second too. He is going to be the most watched player undoubtedly and it will be left to watch if the Milan can stop the most expensive footballer from wreaking havoc.

Alessandro Nesta

Considered as one of the best full-backs of his generation, the 34-year old Italian has been a consistent performer in the Milan defense ever since his return from injury. He has been in good form and has shown no signs of aging as yet. The five times Serie A Defender of the Year has been one of the key reasons for AC Milan's good run so far. Nesta will have to work harder to keep the Madrid strikers at bay and it will be a treat to watch how the experienced and talented defender tackles the young, fast and talented Madrid boys.

Mesut Ozil

The German attacking midfielder has been earning praises galore for his performances in Real Madrid colours. He has been in top form for the Bernabeau giants and has sealed his place in the Real Madrid midfield. The talented German scored the second goal against the San Siro giants and will be looking to repeat the feat. It will be to see if he can again score some more goals for the Galacticos or create a few more for his colleagues.

Alexander Pato

The Duck has been unable to start the new season fully. An injury early in the season forced him off the field. He missed three matches but returned to first team football scoring a brace. He has been in great form and has found the net four times in his six appearances he made for the Rossoneri. He did nothing worthy of noting in the first leg fixture against Real. This time though he has fully recovered and will seemingly be on the look out for scoring a goal or two and maintain his impressive goal-scored per match average.

Sergio Ramos

The 24-year-old Spanish defender is presently one of the most in-demand player. He is regarded as a top quality defender and is being pursued by a number of top European clubs. Real has seen weak defenses cost them titles over the years but Ramos has been their consistent player. He is their strongest link in the defense and will have ample work at hand in efforts to try and keep the Milan strikers at bay. His success or failure will go a long way in deciding the outcome of the game.
