Welcome to the live blog of the week 8 Monday Night Football season!
Tonight we have what is sure to be a great match up: A rematch of the week one upset of the Texans over the Colts.
Honestly, my pick is the Colts.
But the Texans are a very good football team.
This game is for sole possession of first place in the AFC South so with that riding on the line, this game should amount to be one of the week's best.
I want to start off by hearing your picks!
Who do you think will win? Why? And by how much?
Next up: The inactives
Hope all the readers enjoyed the live blog coverage of tonight's Colts/Texans game. Be sure to check out my weekly picks against the spread at http://bleacherreport.com/users/266475-stephen-kasper
So your final score is 30-17. Colts win and are on top of the AFC South. Indy will play at Philadelphia next week while Houston will play San Diego.
I felt like the Colts would get the job done. I honestly didn't expect the Colts to run the ball as well as they did. Arian Foster definitely made a huge impact on the game for the Texans and without him, they have hardly any offense.
Manning finished the game 26/45 for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Foster was the leading rusher with 15 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown
Manning will just kneel it and this game is over. Colts get the win at home.
Schaub gets sacked and is stripped of the ball. Dwight Freeney picks it up. Colts ball with very little time left. That will end this game.
Foster runs up the middle for a first down down to the IND 14.
Schaub is getting the ball moving with 8 straight completions as Andre Johnson comes limping off the field.
Foster catches another pass. He has 8 catches for 58 yards as we come to the 2 minute warning.
Foster is getting first down after first down. It's all west coast though so it's not enough to make an impact. We'll see if Houston can get off a big play.
What a punt! Jacoby Jones releases without catching and it bounces to hit him on the head, but the Texans recover on their own 4.
Fourth down coming up for the Colts and the Texans will get the ball back with about 4 minutes to go.
I don't think any team passes as much as the Colts do with such little time left. Running the clock out seems like the best idea unless you are Peyton Manning.
On third down the Colts convert and get the first down to who else but Tamme. What a big night for this guy.
Pass complete to Reggie Wayne. If the Colts score here it's likely over for the Texans.
Schaub complete to Foster but no gain. It's fourth down and the Texans will punt.
Schaub incomplete. Pass broken up by Session. The guy is everywhere tonight.
The Colts pick up a 36 yard field goal to make it 30-17.
If the Texans can't stop the Colts, they won't be able to win this game. But hopefully for them they can put some points on the board.
Mike Hart comes out limping off the field as Peyton keeps the drive going.
Anthony Gonzalez receives another pass and is hit hard out of bounds. That could have been unnecessary roughness.
Mike Hart is looking good as he closes in on 100 yards rushing for the game.
Manning gets too much time again and finds Garcon over the middle for about 15 and a first down.
Challenge won by the Texans ruling an incomplete pass on the field.
Manning trying to run the no huddle is a bit questionable. I would expect them to try and milk the clock. I guess that's why Peyton Manning is in the game and I'm not.
The Texans have two fourth quarter come backs this season. As Peyton Manning comes back on the field, Houston will be attempting to make it three.
