I was on the internet today and I visited NFL.com. The first thing I saw was that Randy Moss was released by the Minnesota Vikings. My first thoughts when I saw this were: "How come they released him so soon?" and "Is this a positive or negative thing for the Vikings?" Well it could be both positive and negative for them.

Positives

One positive thing that will come out of this for the Vikings is that they will have less off-the-field problems. Randy Moss is one of those guys who will cause off-the-field problems and now that he is gone, they have less worries of these kinds of problems.

Another positive thing that would come out of the release of Moss is that Harvin, Rice and Berrian will be getting more playing time. With Moss in the way, Harvin and Berrian didn't do as much as they did last year and if Rice came back with Moss there, then all of the receivers would be unhappy with the limited catches they would get.

Negatives

A negative thing that would come out of the Vikings releasing Randy Moss is that they have less depth at the wide receiver spot. I know they still have plenty of depth without Moss but with Moss, they wouldn't have to worry as much if one of their receivers got injured.

Another negative thing that would come out of the release of Moss would be that another team could pick him up and that team would just add another huge weapon to their team. This would be bad for the Vikings because if the team Moss goes to is already a good team, then that would really hurt the Vikings' chances of making the playoffs, especially if the Vikings have to play the team that Moss would go to.

Also, I don't think that Moss would like the Vikings anymore because they released him just after they traded for him.
