World Series Game 5 Lineups: Pat Burrell, Aaron Rowand to Start for Giants
The Giants managed to win Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday night despite starting the game with their "defensive" lineup that included Nate Schierholtz in right field and Travis Ishikawa at first base.
As part of that arrangement, regular first baseman Aubrey Huff took the designated hitter role and regular left fielder Pat Burrell was relegated to the bench.
"I talked to him awhile [on Sunday]," manager Bruce Bochy said of replacing Burrell. "It's fair to say he's not seeing the ball. His timing's off."
But according to Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News, Burrell will be back in the lineup for tonight's Game 5, along with veteran (right-handed-hitting) outfielder Aaron Rowand, who will get the start in center field against lefty Cliff Lee.
Below is the Giants lineup in all its glory:
1. Andres Torres, RF
2. Freddy Sanchez, 2B
3. Buster Posey, C
4. Cody Ross, LF
5. Juan Uribe, 3B
6. Aubrey Huff, 1B
7. Pat Burrell, DH
8. Edgar Renteria, SS
9. Aaron Rowand, CF
Tim Lincecum, P
