Brett Favre Injury: Favre Needs Stiches On Lacerated Chin; Will Start Next Week
Brett Favre injured his chin late in the fourth quarter of the Minnesota Vikings 28-18 loss to the New England Patriots, and was carted away by the team's medical staff.
Ensuing tests, Favre was listed with a lacerated chin and would require stiches.
Luckily, reports also indicate that the 3-time MVP will be able to start next week and if thats the case it would extend his streak to 283 consecutive starts.
Favre also has fractures on his right ankle and at his heel which could both pose an issue to his ability. Overall, the 41-year old's age appears to be catching up with him.
Of course, if he doesn't perform at a much more effective level, then I wouldn't be surprised to Travaris Jackson possibly get a chance.
After replacing Favre today, he went on and immediately delivered a one-yard touchdown pass and converted a two point attempt. He would go on to finish with a passer rating of 122.1.
Nonetheless, the Vikings need to figure out their quarterback situation if they have any hopes of turning around their season.
