College Football Scores: Kirk Cousins Gives It Up Again; Iowa Dominating
I've watched a lot of college football games this year, and I don't think I've seen any game in which a team was playing with the same kind of anger and attitude that Iowa is playing with against Michigan State.
After falling into a 17-0 hole, the Spartans had what looked to be a pretty promising drive developing. They got as far as the Iowa 27 yard line before Kirk Cousins was picked again, this time by Shaun Prater. Prater returned the pick 41 yards to the Michigan State 43, and it took a nudge by Cousins to keep him from going all the way.
Iowa scored several plays later on an 11-yard pass from Ricky Stanzi to Adam Robinson, who can also catch. Michael Meyer missed the extra point, so Iowa merely leads by 23-0.
The Spartans overcame a big deficit against Northwestern last week, so anything is possible.
There's only one problem: they're not playing Northwestern.
