Jacory Harris Injury: Miami Hurricanes on Upset Alert
Jacory Harris Injury:
The Hurricanes fought their way back into BCS contention after some tough losses to The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Florida State Seminoles, but now they find themselves at No. 22.
But not for long.
The Canes trail the Virginia Cavaliers 17-0 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, and pulling off the comeback on the road without their starting quarterback Jacory Harris seems highly unlikely for Miami.
Harris took a hard hit late in the second quarter and did not return for the second half. After the hit, Harris was down on the field for several minutes as trainers tended to him, but he did walk off with some help from the training staff.
Spencer Whipple took Harris' place, and he too is having some trouble against the Cavaliers. His first pass of the game resulted in an interception.
Miami has yet to give an official word on the severity of Harris' injury.
