WWE's Golden Boy John Cena: My Thoughts
Hello, Bleachers! Long time no write, so let's get down to it!
First off, this article is a direct response to two John Cena articles. The first being pro Cena (to some extent), and the other being against Cena.
First article, written by Iam D Real Deal yo.
Second article, written by Sumz.
Now, I have nothing against these writers, except their somewhat outlandish names (with all due respect).
With that being said, let me give you my views on the man dubbed as "SuperCena" by many.
Can This Man Wrestle?
Of course he can. I mean, don't No Mercy, Vengeance, and Survivor Series mean anything?
Now don't tell me that The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels carried these matches, because they didn't. Cena played his part in these matches.
He's no Shawn Michaels, but is anyone?
With that being said, I can truly say that yes, he can wrestle and is quite good at it.
Should We Hate on Him, or the WWE Creative Team?
Many call John Cena "SuperCena" because he always comes on top when it is practically impossible to, thus the hate begins.
But the question here is, should we blame him, or the creative team?
The creative team, of course.
Do you seriously think that Cena runs around saying I want to be the guy getting beaten up the whole match then I hit my opponent with five moves and pin him for the 1-2-3?
I'm gonna put a little twist to Stone Cold Steve Austin's words (dare I do that), HELL NO!
Creative and the money lover Vincent Kennedy McMahon have made him what he is today.
Therefore, we can all say that the WWE has made John Cena "Super Cena," not John Cena.
Comparisons to Hulk Hogan and The Rock
First of all, does John Cena never accept a loss? Or does he leave the WWE to pursue a film career and never come back?
First comparison, Hulk Hogan: This man barely did the job to anyone. And when he did, he always got something in return. John Cena has been taking abuse via the Nexus for weeks now, something Hogan would never do. Hogan even did this with 'Taker, as shown in this video (and don't tell me his legs gave up on him).
Second comparison, The Rock: How long has it been since The Rock made an appearance for the company that put him on the map? Do you think that The Rock would be in Hollywood right now doing movies hadn't the WWE put him in the main event? As shown in this video, The Rock seemingly doesn't care about the WWE any more.
Comparison conclusion: Both comparisons are totally ridiculous (with all due respect to both competitors). I mean, one guy never accepted losing and the other left the WWE and doesn't even make an appearance for the company that made him who he is today. Cena, on the other hand, accepts losing CLEANLY and has shown his loyalty to the WWE, as seen in this video.
By now, you probably think I'm a Cena lover, but I'm not. I actually never root for him, but I sure as hell respect the man for what he has done.
I think that his wrestling ability and his mic skills are not deserving of the accomplishments he has and his current status as the face of the WWE. I hope that I have given the readers proof via my videos.
