San Antonio Spurs 2008-09 Preview

They have been the most impressive squad in the NBA over the past eight years, but the San Antonio Spurs couldn’t get it done last year in the Western Conference Finals last year against the Los Angeles Lakers.

That being said, what is in store for the Spurs for the upcoming season? Keep your eyes out for some of these things: determination, hard work, and great coaching.  Their starting lineup will look strong as always:

PG: Tony Parker
SG: Michael Finley
SF: Bruce Bowen
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Kurt Thomas

Obviously, Parker and Duncan are the headliners of this starting five, but Bruce Bowen is arguably the best defender in the NBA, and has a very underrated spot-up three-point jumper.

Michael Finley has made a long career in the Association with his patented beautiful deep ball—but he is getting old, and may see his playing time decreases even more.
