Justin Blackmon: Oklahoma State WR Arrested in Texas on DUI Charge
Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested on a DUI charge early Tuesday morning in Dallas.
According to the report on pressofatlanticcity.com, police spokesman Dustin Bartram said Blackmon was arrested at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday after stopped for speeding at 92 mph in a 60 mph zone along I-35 in Carrollton, Texas.
After failing a field sobriety test administered by officers, Blackmon was arrested on DUI chargers before bonding out of jail shortly after 8 a.m. for $375, Bartram told the media.
Today, the university released a statement saying Blackmon "was stopped for at traffic violation" and that Oklahoma State officials were gathering details on the incident.
"Neither Blackmon nor OSU coach Mike Gundy can comment until the matter is resolved," the statement released by Oklahoma State said.
According to the report, Blackmon is also ranked No. 1 nationally at wide receiver with 158.9 reception yards per game.
In 2010, he has 62 catches for 1,112 yards and 14 touchdowns.
