Drive with Rize Special Edition: MAJOR Bragging Rights News, Title Changes Nixed

RiZESenior Writer IOctober 25, 2010

Hello, creatures of the night, Rize here with today's MAJOR news.

We all were surprised by the ending of the Orton vs. Barrett match. Most of us predicted Orton to win but have Cena explode on Barrett, costing him the match. Orton's win by DQ was not arranged until sometime last week.

WWE Creative had planned for Barrett to win the WWE title. Officials later nixed the idea. I agree, Randy Orton losing the title before a month-long reign is a foolish idea. They've been pushing him hard for the past few weeks, one title match could've ruined Orton's momentum.

Wade Barrett wasn't the only one planned to win a title last night. Yes, that's right, the Undertaker was set to defeat Kane last night. An injury to 'Taker ultimately kept the title in Kane's hands. 'Taker is rumored to have a torn rotator cuff.

The ending would've been the same, minus Nexus' interference. Speaking of Nexus—are you wondering why they interfered? Well, Kane has beaten the Phenom at two straight PPVs. The Nexus was used to help protect the Undertaker. Basically to help him "save face".

The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix, will be making her long-awaited return to Smackdown in a few short weeks. LayCool coming to an end? Hopefully.

Getting a lot of feedback from Bleachers believing the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar confrontation at UFC 121 was a work. Ariel Helwani took the Twitter announcing the confrontation was indeed real.

Figures, let's just hope 'Taker wants Lesnar to end the streak.

Well, that's all for now folks.
