Toronto Maple Leafs: Most Exciting Team in Hockey

I know what some of you are probably thinking. This is a joke. Or, is this kid serious? Well this isn't a hoax, and I'm telling the truth, as I see it. Of course, I have reasoning behind this. The Toronto Maple Leafs are the most exciting team in the NHL for one reason: You never know what is going to happen in one of their games.

All you have to do is look at two Leaf games from last season to see what I mean. The first game is the Toronto Maple Leafs only visit to Los Angeles. The Kings were the worst team in the Western Conference, yet they defeated the Leafs five-two. The second game is the Red Wings paying a visit to the Air Canada Centre.

Detroit won the President's Trophy and the Stanley Cup this season in dominating fashion. However, Toronto was able to pull out a three-two overtime victory against this incredibly talented team. A loss to the worst team in the Western Conference, and a win against the Stanley Cup Champions. That says it all in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching the Leafs get embarrassed more than anything in hockey. But I must admit, I enjoy their games very much too. Alexei Ponikarovsky having an empty net to shoot at against the Carolina Hurricanes, only to have them steal the puck and tie the game with less than 30 seconds in regulation.

Or how about, Bryan McCabe giving the puck away to Mike Komisarek in overtime against the Montreal Canadiens. We all know how that ended. Games like these gave me great laughs. We also have to remember the comeback against the Philadelphia Flyers though.

Down three-nothing, the Leafs stormed back in the third period to win four-three in sudden death. There's also the five-four win against the Ottawa Senators, where Toronto erased a four-two deficit. Both of these wins, kept the Leafs slim playoff hopes alive.

With a new season just around the corner, I'm sure we'll see plenty of surprises in Toronto. I can promise you that I'll watch as many of their games as I can. These guys are always great to watch. One way or another.
