In the latest BCS rankings, Auburn is No. 1, their first ranking at the top since 1985.

There is a huge party going on at Auburn for sure. There may be one going on in Oxford, Mississippi as well, as they are the first team to play Auburn as the top-ranked team. It's in Oxford. Ole Miss hopes to pull a South Carolina/Wisconsin/Missouri.

But all those No. 1 teams who lost didn't have Cameron Newton.... and the team they were playing had a good defense, something Ole Miss might lack.

Make no mistake... Ole Miss presents a great challenge for this Auburn Tigers football team.

Zac Ethridge's Twitter page has apparently been blowing up since 7:30. Gene Chizik shrugged it off on national TV. Travis Williams did the same.

To keep it short, Auburn is the number one team in the land and control their own destiny.

Auburn Tiger fans.... this is NOT 2004! War Eagle!
