The St. Louis Rams selected Steven Jackson with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft.

Jackson's first NFL season was the 2004-05 season. He played his first game, in the backup role, on September 12, 2004. In case you are wondering, Marshall Faulk was still the starter.

Quick Hits on Steve Jackson:

The Rams are 31-61 in Jackson's career.

He's played under five head coaches.

The Rams have started 10 different quarterbacks during his tenure: Marc Bulger, Chris Chandler, Jamie Martin, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Gus Frerotte, Brock Berlin, Kyle Boller, Keith Null, and Sam Bradford.

And now, a little bit more than six years later, Steven Jackson is the Rams all-time leading rusher.

Jackson broke the record with a three-yard gain in the second quarter against the Buccaneers
